Come and explore the heartwarming event of Christmas lights and welcome the shimmering festival with dazzling lights in the centre of West End.

World famous Christmas lights

Every year, the Oxford Street Lights, the world renowned celebration for Christmas, attracts thousands of people to West End over the New Year and Christmas celebrations. A definite attraction of Christmas in London, lights highlight of Christmas in London, the lights will be switched on in an exclusive celebrity event in November 2009.

Stars Come Down at Oxford Street

Traditionally, the Oxford Street Christmas lights are switched on by a row up of renowned celebrities visiting the place to meet the crowds at the beginning of Christmas. For this year, the guest stars of the latest 3D Disney version of the classic Charles Dickens’s story A Christmas Carol will be setting the show on fire at Oxford Street. Illumination ceremony will be coordinated with the switching of events on Regent Street.

Live music

This year the credit of live performances will go to a selection of performers but the prime attractions are the appearances of the star cats of Disney’s adaptation of A Christmas Carol. The star cast of this movie will be switching on the lights on Regent Street and Oxford Street  right before heading to the world premiere of the movie at Leicester Square.
